Don’t Let the Current Financial Crisis Ruin Your Future!

Look at what has happened in the last nine months.

Many of our oldest and most respected financial institutions have failed, been seized by Washington, or swallowed hole by competitors.

Major Wall Street brokers Bear Stearns and Lehman Brothers—banks and thrifts like Wachovia, Washington Mutual and Indy Mac…our largest insurance company AIG– and our two largest mortgage companies Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac—all gone!

Right now discussions are under way in Washington about how to save General Motors, Chrysler, and Ford. This financial crisis is still in the early stages. The future of manufacturing in the U.S. is very much at risk, especially in the automotive field.

No matter what direction Congress takes in the next few months, rougher times seem to lie ahead, especially since Congress seems determined to go head long in the wrong direction.

If there’s one thing we should have learned over the last decade, it’s that giant businesses, just like giant government, sooner or later, forget what their purpose is.

They become consumed with the idea that bigger is better and they are entitled to special benefits that most people do not have. That they are entitled to be supported just because they are big—not because they make a great product and run their businesses profitably.

This is exactly the recipe that has led to the current financial crisis. What promises to compound the problem is that Big Government seems to be committed to propping up Big Business. This can only result in compounding the problem.

What has this got to do with you?

Simply this, you have two choices. You can continue to do things as you have in the past by depending on others and take your chances that things will work out—or–

you can take control of your own destiny and future right now by starting to insulate yourself from being dependent on others and take control of your own future.

You see, fortunes are made in good times and in bad. Many people know that when there are a lot of problems, there are also lots of opportunities.

It is my firm belief that the future prosperity of our country does not lie in giant corporations and giant government. The future lies in more Americans reviving their entrepreneurial spirit and running their own small businesses. This gives every American the opportunity to control his own destiny. Haven’t you ever thought you had a better way to do something?

Can you visualize what would happen if every American said, “I’ve had it with what’s going on in the world and I’m going to take control of my own destiny,” and started their own businesses to solve our most pressing problems,  such as obesity,  alcoholism,  cures for diseases,  new energy sources,  new safety devices, improving education,  new technologies,  new and better ways to handle child care and take care of senior citizens?

These are just a few of the obvious ones!

This would result in hundreds of thousands of new businesses solving some of our greatest problems. This Blog that will elaborate on these ideas.  I hope you will bookmark this blog and join me on a whole new and exciting  journey of self discovery!
